French Victory in Ax-3 Domaines-Löfkvist Advanced

Andy Schleck (Team Saxo Bank), Alberto Contador (Astana) challenged each other without bothering about other top racers who had to drive freely.

This meant that Denis Menchov (Rabobank) and Samuel Sánchez (Euskaltel-Euskadi) a while low before the number one and number two in the abstract on the stage. Schleck and Contador, however, drove up the cover on the end and rolled across the finish line along with judgment and Joaquin Rodriguez (Team Katusha), Robert Gesink (Rabobank) and Jurgen Van Den Broeck (Omega Pharma-Lotto).

Not far behind the dense Group took Thomas Löfkvist (Sky Professional Cycling Team) their own tempo and dropped just over a minute and a half to Andy Schleck and the other top riders. Gotland is now in 16th place in the overall classification after stages 14 executed.
