Saga Continues to Impress-Rogers Top

Road: one of the year’s biggest breakthrough is no doubt the 20-year-old Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Doimo). On Thursday, he won again when he upset Michael Rogers (HTC-Columbia) and David Zabriskie (Garmin-Transitions) in Bakersfield, at the fifth stage of the Tour of California.

One of the biggest breakthroughs are without doubt the 20-year-old Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Doimo). On Thursday, he won again when he upset Michael Rogers (HTC-Columbia) and David Zabriskie (Garmin-Transitions) in Bakersfield, at the fifth stage of the Tour of California.

“I’m glad, because when you win, you’re always happy,” said Peter Sagan, who was close to a stage victory in the race when the finish was in Santa Rosa. And on stage, where David Zabriskie took over the lead, he won the klungspurten and became four.

Michael Rogers finished second on the fifth stage but that was enough to take over the lead in the Tour of California, at the same time as David Zabriskie but with better etapplaceringar.

– Once again did my team a great job for me but Peter Sagan is undeniably a great talent and really fast, so the best man won, “explains Michael Rogers.

Levi Leipheimer (Team Radioshack) is still third place, beaten by 12 seconds.
